Dr. Joel Lane Smith's years of extensive training in the field of dentistry has made him the
competent cosmetic dentist that he is today. A graduate of the University of Texas Health
Science Center Dental School in San Antonio, Texas in 1984. Dr. Smith has founded his
private practice in Beaumont, Texas. Dr. Smith takes pride in having introduced
neuromuscular dentistry to Southeast Texas, along with his team of highly qualified
professionals. Aside from excelling in his own practice, Dr. Smith rias taught other dentists
for over 20 years at UTHSC at San Antonio Dental School and as an instructor at LVI Global,
the premier post graduate learning institution in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Joel Lane Smith is a member of the ADA, AACD, TDA, AGD, and has obtained his

fellowship in the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics. In addition to being

involved in the community, Dr. Smith has been a member of the Board of Director of the

Diabetes Awareness Program at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He also served on the Board of

Directors of Lamar University in Orange and on the LIT Board of Directors. When he is not

helping patients achieve healthy, beautiful smiles, Dr. Smith enjoys his free time helping

rescue horses and raising Longhorn and Brangus cattle. He also enjoys the great outdoors.

Dr. Smith has taken over 1,000 hours of continued education covering a multitude of

topics. He served as a clinical instructor at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI Global)

where he taught dentists from around the world to do cosmetic and neuromuscular (TMJ)

dentistry for over 17 yea rs.

Sharon Ackerman, RDA
Sharon is a Registered Dental Assistant. She graduated from San Antonio College in San Antonio, Texas. She has been affiliated with the dental field for over 28 years and has served 22 years with Dr. Joel L. Smith's team.

Sharon is a Southeast Texas native and values time spent with friends and family. Travel and serving at her church are a few of the many things she enjoys.

Sharon is also the Treatment Coordinator. Through extensive training and continuing education she is able to handle all aspects of the office and enjoys helping patients to plan and reach their dental goals.

Kellie Darling, RDH
Kellie Darling is a Registered Dental Hygienist with over 8 years' experience. Kellie was born and raised in Lumberton, Texas where she married her high school
sweetheart and where they raise their two little boys. Outside of being a mom, Kellie enjoys reading, going to church, time at the lake and being with her family. Kellie's favorite part of being a hygienist is the personal connection she builds with her patients, and the confidence she instills in patients by improving their oral health.

Mackenzie Fitzwater, RDA
Mackenzie is one of our Registered Dental Assistants. She has been in the dental world for 3 years and will be expanding her dental education in the future.

Mackenzie loves to spend her time here getting to know patients personally and helping reconstruct their new smile.

In her free time, Mackenzie loves spending time with her friends and family and taking
trips to the beach.

Paige Williams, RDA
Paige is one of our Registered Dental Assistants. She has been in the dental world since November of 2017. Paige enjoys chairside assisting the Doctor in challenging dental procedures.

When Paige is not working, she spends time with her daughter going to the park or visiting family from her hometown.

Paige enjoys continuing education courses to keep her dental knowledge above the
horizon.
